September Employment Support Workshops

Unlock Your Potential: Boost Your Interview Skills with the STAR Method!

Our interactive workshops during September will cover interview skills with a focus on the STAR method and how it is used during interviews.

Competency questions are a significant part of the Interview and the STAR method is a structured approach to answering these interview questions.

STAR means Situation, Task, Action and Result.  This method helps interview candidates to clearly explain their experiences and demonstrate their skills effectively.  During the workshop, we will show you how to create scenarios and provide you with examples of questions and answers using this approach.

Preparation before you go into the interview, helps to reduce anxiety.  When you are prepared, it helps you to provide clear answers which shows off your skills and achievements and makes you stand out to interviewers.

Using AI to prepare for interviews

We will include how to use AI to find job-specific questions to practice with so that you are better prepared for the interview.

There will also be opportunities to ask questions during the workshop.
