During October, our interactive workshops will give you the basics on how to search for a job that suits your skills.  During the session we will cover the following:

Learning how to job search effectively

We will show you how to:

  • Find industries and companies that fit your skills
  • Explain why you need to adapt your CV for each job you apply for
  • Apply for jobs online and target the ones you want

Getting a better response to your job application

We will show you how to:

  • Adapt your CV and cover letter to show why you’re a great fit for the job
  • Use keywords from the job advertisement
  • Follow up with a friendly message after applying

Structuring your Job Search Strategy

We will explain why it’s important to:

  • Set clear goals
  • Make a job search plan to prioritise the best opportunities
  • Keep track of your progress so you can adjust as needed

Hidden Jobs Market

We will explain what this is and how to use your contacts to find a job that suits your skills and commitments

Getting back to the Work Place

We will talk about how to prepare your CV after you have been away from the work place due to for example, family commitments, illness or redundancy.

This is also relevant for first time job seekers.
