SECAD Partnership is inviting expressions of interest from community groups interested in securing funding under either the Measure 1 or the Development Measure of the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) 2024/25.
The Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS) provides funding for the development of new and existing outdoor recreational infrastructure in rural areas.
Measure 1 Projects
- Measure 1 of the scheme covers the upkeep/repair/development of trails/walkways/outdoor recreational facilities managed by the organisation making the application.
- SECAD is eligible to submit 3 applications for funding to the Dept. of Rural & Community Development for Measure 1 projects
- Projects can seek grant aid up to €40,000 for small scale Repair/Development/Promotion and Marketing.

Development Measure Projects
- The Development Measure covers the development costs for strategic large scale projects.
- SECAD is eligible to submit 1 application for funding to the Dept. of Rural & Community Development under the Development Measure .
- Projects can seek grant aid up to €50,000 for the development costs for strategic large scale projects.

Applications will be submitted by SECAD Partnership to the Dept. of Rural & Community Development on behalf of the projects selected.
